Ang Lee set to helm Woodstock comedy
London, Oct 3 ANI: Oscar winning director Ang Lee is all set to direct a comedy 'Taking Woodstock' based on the landmark festival Woodstock.Taking Woodstock is based on a book by Elliot Tiber, who granted the original permit for the 1969 event, which became synonymous with the hippy movement. Lee, who has directed flicks like 'Brokeback Mountain', 'Sense and Sensibility', will begin filming the flick at upstate New York, home of the first Woodstock, with a view to releasing the movie ahead of Woodstock's 40th anniversary in 2009. However, Lee's spokesman declined elaborate on details of the plot."I'm not in a position to discuss details of the film," BBC quoted Ang Lee's spokesman David Lee, as saying. The Woodstock project took place when Ang Lee met the author Elliot Tiber at a book launch in San Francisco. ANI
