The most active sector is oil and gas, where Eurocopter commands over 50 percent of the market share. Other segments where the company holds a key position are charter and tourism services, and the VIP/corporate segment where Eurocopter's clientele includes leading groups like Reliance, Jindals, Kingfisher and Sahara. Established in 1992, the Franco-German-Spanish Eurocopter Group is a division of EADS, a world leader in aerospace, defence and related services. The group employs about 14,000 people.
