Passengers foil hijack attempt of Turkish plane

INT50International/Aviation/CrimePassengers foil hijack attempt of Turkish planeAnkara, Oct 15 Xinhua An attempt to hijack a Turkish Airlines THY plane on its way from Antalya in southern Turkey to Russia's St Petersburg has been foiled by passengers Wednesday, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported. State Airports Authority DHMI chief Orhan Birdal said a passenger attempted to hijack the plane by claiming that he was carrying a bomb. "He was overpowered by other passengers.
