Sony recalls video game on Koran following hardline Muslim objections
London, Oct.18 ANI: Japanese electronic giant Sony has recalled a new PS3 computer game on the Koran because Muslims have taken offence to it.According to The Sun, the ultra-cute platform game called LittleBigPlanet was due to hit shop shelves next Friday, but hardline Muslims have expressed fury over a song, which quotes two lines from the Koran. The words used by Mali-born Grammy award winner Toumani Diabate, himself a Muslim, translate as "Every soul shall have a taste of death" and "All that is on Earth will perish." Hardliners say the mixing of words from the Koran with music is deeply offensive and have asked Sony to take action that could cost the firm millions of pounds. The song has been on general release since 2006. Copies of the game will be returned from warehouses around the world. It will now be re-released sometime in November. ANI
