New Bond Girl was left deaf, dumb and blind by oil death scene in new flick

London, Oct 24 ANI: New Bond Girl Gemma Arterton claims that a scene in the latest 007 venture left her deaf, dumb and blind, after she was covered in oil and left for dead on the bed she shared with Bond. The actress claims that the scene turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences in the new Bond flick 'Quantum of Solace', in which her character is called Agent Fields. In the scene, the film's villain drowns the actress in oil and then dumps her on the bed she shared with the suave superspy, played by Daniel Craig, the night before. The actress had to lie down for two hours after being covered from head to toe in oil for the death scene. Filming that scene was brilliant, although it was quite strange. I was taken on the set and dowsed in the oil and I had to lay there for almost two hours," the Daily Star quoted her, as saying. She added: "I couldn't move, I couldn't see, I couldn't breathe properly, and I couldn't hear because all the oil went in my ears. At the time I thought it was quite unpleasant, but then I thought, 'This is something I will always remember, and it will be an iconic part of the film.'" ANI
